2018 Clarence House Estate SB (Reserve) Sauvignon Blanc
Clarence House was built in 1830 on land which was originally the market garden for the City of Hobart. The present owner, David Kilpatrick, first planted vines on the North-East slopes of Clarence Plains in 1998.
The 2018 SB (Sous Bois, under wood) Sauvignon Blanc is a wood matured wine from Sauvignon Blanc grapes. This complex and delicate wine was selected and processed in French oak barrels (50% new) with 50% barrel ferments and 50% ferments on skins by Anna Pooley and Justin Bubb at Pooley Wines. Delicious with fish it will accompany any food or stand alone. This wine should be at its best from 5 to 10 years after vintage.
